The US Election is on Tuesday, and the polls open at 6:00 a.m. Depending on what state the voter lives in early voting has started for most Americans.
Most polls still put Hillary Clinton ahead between +1 and +6 in the popular vote. The issue for those who want Mrs. Clinton to be elected is in the Electorial College. Trump is making gains in specific states that will make the Electoral College race closer and closer.
Most elections come with an “October Surprise” and this one is no different. The uncovering of emails on Anthony Weiner’s wife’s computer added to this election’s unusualness. Then finding out that there was nothing there made everything more unusual.
This election has been filled with more arguments more rhetoric more nastiness than anyone has seen in a long time. Americans can remember the day when a politician saying “Yee Haw” in a humorous manner made him unfit to win the primary. This election season we have had politicians with federal investigations, sex scandals, rape allegations, and more. This election has been about personality more than anything else.
The American people are tired of politicians who are not reactive and do not work for him or her, and yet, this time around the American people are being given two choices that are scary. One choice would go against many of their morals, and the other choice would be against his or her best interest.
Looking at the polls, most still believe that Hillary Clinton is going to win the presidency, but it will not be by as strong of a margin as the Democrats had hoped for. She will not be going into office with the same mandate to rule that Barack Obama went in with, in 2008.
A betting person would still bet on Hillary to win by a slim margin.
